Yoga is not a religion. It is a science, science of well-being, science of youthfulness, science of integrating body, mind and soul

yoga for the animals

a benefit for the animals of indrakola animal sanctuary - mar. 25th

2:00PM - 5:00PM

Join Indraloka Animal Sanctuary for our first ever Yoga Day in Philly! TORC Yoga will host us  for an afternoon of loving kindness, self care, and compassion- all to benefit the animal residents of Indraloka!
This all-level event will start off with an upbeat power vinyasa flow yoga class lead by TORC Yoga’s Jennifer Holford. Jennifer’s class will focus on shoulder and chest openers with a strong emphasis on breath, taking dancer pose as the peak posture. The class will be energizing, and upbeat. Following the first class, we will enjoy some plant-based snacks while Indraloka’s creative director Johnny Braz displays his beautiful animal portraits- some might even be for sale! After we mingle, we will join Jacqui Sadashige for “Open Your Heart for Animals” – a yoga class focusing on heart openers and poses named after animals, with variations of animal poses and an added heart opening element. Last, we will finish the day off with a relaxing mediation.
